This is the website of the Leicester Magic Circle, one of the oldest
magical societies in the world.
The Circle meets fortnightly in Braunstone's modern Civic Centre where
it’s 80 members enjoy a full programme of lectures, guest speakers,
demonstrations, charity shows, visits, performances and competitions.
The Circle also takes magic out to the public with its very special
and exclusive ‘At Home’ magic performances.
The Leicester Magic Circle provides an invaluable resource for its
members, as well as providing a meeting of the minds, it also has a
well stocked library of more than 500 books and dvd's available for
lending to members free of charge.
The Leicester Magic Circle is into its 84th year and still going strong.
The 2009 - 2010 President, Chairman and Secretary are Tony Rix, Kevin
Hargraves and Barry Martin.

Paul Gordon is lecturing is new lecture The real secrets of card magic at the Leicester Magic Circle on the 1st March 2010. Please feel free if you’re a magician or interested in magic to come along and enjoy a night with the LMC and a superb Lecturer £10 for non members. Remember were in our new HQ.

18/1/10 - First Night
The 18th January was the first meeting in the new HQ
and it was a great success, Steve Price showed us some excellent commercial magic and new ideas, there was also a great turn out by members let's keep it up. |

| 16/12/09 - More Awards for
LMC Members
At the LMC Christmas Get-together 3 things happened firstly
it was our last meeting in the Grand Hotel before we move to better
premises (see below).
Secondly Carl Buck was awarded the Merit Cup for services to
the LMC and Thirdly Sam Mallinson was proudly made an Honorary

Exciting times for the LMC
As from the 1st of January the Leicester Magic Circle will have
a new headquarters. This will be The Braunstone Civic Centre,
a new modern building with excellent facilities and parking.

John Archer
John Archer is lecturing at the Leicester Magic Circle on the

24/6/09 - Congratulations to Members Alan Cooper and
Carl Buck who came first and second in the champion of champions
close-up competition in Leamington in third place was Craig Petty.
11/6/09 - Don't forget the AGM
on Monday 15th June there could be some important information
about the LMC you wouldn't want to miss so please attend Members
Only.
16/3/09- LMC held their annual Roy Johnson Close-Up
Competition it was a tough competition judges were Steve Evans
& Steve Walker the winner this year was Tony Rix.
6/12/08 - Two of our members Will Gray & Carl Buck
were both asked over the Christmas period to go and perform at
Old Trafford (home of Manchester united FC) in their hospitality
suites entertaining former players and guests.
29/9/2008 - Congratulations to member Will Gray on coming
third in the IBM British Ring Close-up competition Well done!!
