6/2/12 - Matthew Wright
On the 6th February Matthew Wright will be lecturing at the LMC.

Matthew is an accomplished magician and winner of almost every magical award going so come along and watch his new "If Carlsberg made Magic Tricks" lecture.

3/12/11 - Bring a Trick Magic Chat
On the 5th December the meeting is Bring a trick & Magic Chat, Please come along and bring a trick your working on or just a trick you want to show everyone. There's no lecture this will be happening in the bar so we can also have a drink and a chat about magic 7:30 onwards.

12/11/11 - Scott Creasey
Scott who now lives in Spain will be over to the UK to Lecture for the LMC with his Corporate Mentalist Lecture on Monday November 21st 2011.

He's had great success with the "Bip Book" & the "First Impressions Pad" this could be one of the only  times you get to see this working professional in the UK so come along.

7/11/11 - Brian Lord
Brian Lord is celebrating his 80th birthday at the next meeting 7th November (I know 80 it's hard to believe).

This night will be a demonstration of old tricks and a special 'antique' trick that has a circle history dating back to the early days of the circle.
2nd half, he will do items from his speaking engagements. An interesting night so please come along and support your circle.

4/10/11 - Craig Petty
On the 17th October Craig Petty will be lecturing at the LMC.

He will be performing a lot of his own original material plus some new things never seen.

25/06/11 - Will Gray is the Midlands Close - up Champion of Champions!
The Leamington and Warwickshire Day of Magic hosted the tough competition between eight society winners, all competing for the title 'Midlands Close - up Champion of Champions'. After an excellent display of magic from all, it was Will (representing the Leicester Magic Circle) who came out top.

We would all like to congratulate our new chairman on his Win!!

21/5/11 - Lecturers
Leicester Magic Circle has had two great lectures recently with Jay Scott Berry & Cameron Francis. LMC are planning more overseas lectures in the coming year so keep an eye on our Programme page.

Our next lecture is on the 6th June and it's UK's very own FISM winner Marc Oberon all guests welcome £10 each.

17/5/11 - More Awards
On the 16th May Roy Johnson was presented the Merit Cup for services to the Leicester Magic Circle, Roy has already won this twice before in 68, 79.
This comes after also winning the Murray Award in February at The Blackpool Convention.

20/3/11 - Close Up Show
On the 14th March LMC put on a Close-up Show for members and the public at their HQ in Leicester. There were about 35 guests who all had a great time. Performers were Ian Barradell, Will Gray, David Faulks & Tony Rix, this was all compered by the one and only Roy Johnson.

20/2/11 - The Murray Award
On the 20th February 2011 at the World’s biggest magic convention our very own past president Roy Johnson was honoured by the Blackpool Magicians Club by awarding him the Murray Award for outstanding contributions to magic Roy has been a magical Author, Tutor, Performer, Inventor and pretty much everything else you can think of.
We at the LMC are very proud and honoured that he is still a member and a friend to us all.

18/10/10 - Andy Clockwise Lecture
On Monday 18th October Andy Clockwise lectured at Leicester Magic Circle we had a great turn out for this great performer.

If you can get chance to see him at a magic club near you then do so.

27/9/10 - IBM Convention
The 23rd of September 2010 was the prestigious IBM Close-up competition we would like to congratulate Will Gray on coming 2nd beating off opposition such as Hyashi, John Van De Put, & Mel Harvey.

27/9/10 - New Chairman
Our Chairman Kevin Hargraves is moving to Cornwall and unfortunately retiring as Chairman but we have a replacement David Faulks as agreed to be Chairman till the end of the year which we are very grateful and sure he'll do a great job.

10/9/10 - Pocket trick drive
On the 6th September LMC had a Pocket Trick Drive Competition which was a fantastic night and something we will do again Joint winners were Barry Martin (I Know we couldn't believe it either) and Ian Barradell.

16/08/10- Brian Lord

15/3/10- LMC held their annual Roy Johnson Close-Up Competition it was a tough competition judges were Iain Moran & Jim Springthorpe the winner this year was Carl Buck.

25/2/10 - Paul Gordon

18/1/10 - First Night
The 18th January was the first meeting in the new HQ and it was a great success, Steve Price showed us some excellent commercial magic and new ideas, there was also a great turn out by members let's keep it up.

16/12/09 - More Awards for LMC Members
At the LMC Christmas Get-together 3 things happened firstly it was our last meeting in the Grand Hotel before we move to better premises (see below).

Secondly Carl Buck was awarded the Merit Cup for services to the LMC and Thirdly Sam Mallinson was proudly made an Honorary Member. (photo)

18/11/09 - Exciting times for the LMC
As from the 1st of January the Leicester Magic Circle will have a new headquarters. This will be The Braunstone Civic Centre, a new modern building with excellent facilities and parking.
