Dressage Competitions 2011

PLEASE NOTE: No entries will be accepted verbally or via email for dressage competitions. You will NOT be allocated a time slot unless payment has been recieved. Therefore, please, please send me your entries in plenty on time so that I recieve them before the closing date. Many thanks!! Liz.

PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR ALL MOORELAND STABLES TESTS

Saturday and Sunday Dressage:
Entries close Thursday before the event at 1700.
Times available on the Thursday before from the website (after 2200).
Classes will be split into Junior (16 years and under on 01st January of current year) and Senior sections, except Dressage to Music Classes.
Rosettes to 6th Place.
£10 per class or £18 for 2 tests entered on the same day with same horse and rider

Weekday Dressage:
Entries close Monday before the event at 1700 If on a Wednesday.
Entries close Tuesday before the event at 1700 If on a Thursday.
Times available on the entry closing day from the website (after 2200).

Dressage Board Training Days - prebook slots only

Come and book the school for either a 30, 45 or 60 minute slot with the dressage arena boards set out.
This is an invaluable experience for young horses that have not seen dressage boards before, or those wanting to practise a test before the big day!

Dates 2012:

17th & 18th March
13th, 14th, 15th April

Prices:

1/2 hour, 1 horse: £6
3/4 hour, 1 horse: £8
1 hour, 1 horse: £10
1/2 hour, 2 horses: £10
3/4 hour, 2 horses: £14
1 hour, 2 horses: £16

Email or text Liz to book a slot. An email confirmation will be sent to you within 48 hours of booking your slot.

 

 

 

 

 

There will always be someone available to call tests if required, so please do not be put off if you cannot remember it!!! All we ask, is that you please make a small donation (minimum 50pence)in the charity box every time you have a test called!!

PLEASE NOTE WHEN ENTERING DRESSAGE THAT CLASSES ARE HELD IN THE SAME ARENA AND WILL FOLLOW ON. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ONLY ENTER CLASSES THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WAIT FOR AS WE CANNOT GUARANTEE HOW MANY COMPETITORS WILL BE IN EACH CLASS. ONCE THE TIMES HAVE BEEN SHOWN ON THE WEBSITE, THEY ARE NON-CHANGEABLE AND YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO GO IN DURING YOUR TIME SLOT. THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THIS WILL BE IF WE HAVE A WITHDRAWAL AND ANOTHER TIME SLOT BECOMES AVAILABLE. MANY THANKS!!!

Freestyle To Music Rules and Details

 

MOORELAND STABLES WALK AND TROT FREESTYLE TO MUSIC

The dressage to music is to be performed in a 20m x 40m arena. Music is to be prepared and handed to the organiser on the day in the form of a CD. Please hand your music in at your earliest convenience so that sound checks can be done prior to your test.

The test has a number of mandatory moves. Any additional moves may be performed (excluding canter) as long as they appear in a current BD test up to and including Prelim standard.

The test must be between 31/2 and 4 minutes. Time penalties will be deducted if over or under this time.

In the event of equal marks, the competitor with the highest marks for artistic interpretation will take the place.

Mandatory Moves :

Minimum 15m medium walk (in addition to 2 x 10m circles)
Halt at beginning and end of test
Minimum 20m Free walk on a long rein
10m Circle left and right in medium walk
20m circle left and right in working trot

Artistic marks will be awarded as in the Novice test.

 

MOORELAND STABLES PRELIMINARY FREESTYLE TO MUSIC

The dressage to music is to be performed in a 20m x 40m arena. Music is to be prepared and handed to the organiser on the day in the form of a CD. Please hand your music in at your earliest convenience so that sound checks can be done prior to your test.

The test has a number of mandatory moves. Any additional moves may be performed as long as they appear in a current BD test up to and including Prelim standard.

The test must be between 4 and 41/2minutes. Time penalties will be deducted if over or under this time.

In the event of equal marks, the competitor with the highest marks for artistic interpretation will take the place.

Mandatory Moves :

Minimum 20m Medium walk
Halt at beginning and end of test
Minimum 20m Free walk on a long rein
20m Circle left and right in trot
20m circle left and right in canter

Artistic marks will be awarded as in the Novice test.

NOVICE FREESTYLE TO MUSIC

The dressage to music is to be performed in a 20m x 40m arena. Music is to be prepared and handed to the organiser on the day in the form of a CD. Please hand your music in at your earliest convenience so that sound checks can be done prior to your test.

The test (found below) has a number of mandatory moves. Any additional moves may be performed as long as they appear in a current BD test up to and including Novice standard.

The test must be between 4 and 41/2 minutes. Time penalties will be deducted if over or under this time.
Penalties will also be deducted for any illegal movements (ie those above novice standard).

In the event of equal marks, the competitor with the highest marks for artistic interpretation will take the place.

Mandatory Moves :

Minimum 20m Medium walk
Halt at beginning and end of test
Minimum 20m Free walk on a long rein
15m Circle left and right in trot
Some medium trot strides
20m circle left and right in canter
